these are not my ideas. they are for the most part not even new ideas.
the views we express come to us (with few, notable, exceptions) as and through other peoples' articulations, sometimes thousands of years after their death. if you should feel the temptations of admiration or outrage about this written work, recall that is the output of a single, limited, fallible, and complexly multi-faceted human who, like an idiot, obsesses about unutterable experiences and how they relate to the pulsing blood, breath, and tension of living through moments.
and these are not necessarily reliable or true statements--Everything Depends On Context. one of the dominant contexts for all humans, as the complexly-minded social primates we are, is that we are not (counter to many peoples' assertions) apex predators, rather we humans are Apex Tricksters. it behooves us to keep this dynamic reality in mind when considering and acting within life's constraints and abundances. it sometimes will occur that what appears to be informational or educational content is, in its secret center, meant to mislead or distract from real facts.
this is more than "take nothing at face value." there is both utility and context in the parts of life which "face us", and there are aspects within and around the obvious appearances of our lives, where meaning and motion dwell. ignore one side for the other and you will be caught more often unawares. go willingly half blind and you might yet balance both side, nestling once into the other into the other.
additionally: these posts are not static. what came before influences what came after, and what came after references that which came before. what you read here one breath may shift, be reworded, acquire new links, have an image added, or alter in numerous other ways whilst you continue pumping your heart. this is not print, and if you bring print assumptions (or you chase bleeding-edge net trends) you might miss something new in the old, or when one beat of the ever-redefined "middle" began branching out.
